Michelle Wigg is an arts manager and event producer with 14+ years’ experience at some of the world’s largest festivals in Australia, UK, USA and New Zealand.
She holds a Masters of Arts & Cultural Management through University of South Australia (2017).
Michelle is available for consulting work on events and arts management, including:
- tour management, travel logistics, and visa applications
- staff and volunteer recruitment and coordination
- social media management
- event conception, planning and delivery
Hailing from the “festival state” of South Australia, Michelle is currently located in New Zealand as Programme Administrator for Auckland Arts Festival 2020.
In June 2019, she completed a one-year sabbatical of travel around USA, visiting 20 states and working in operational roles at nine events including Sundance Film Festival and SXSW.
Michelle’s other recent work has included:
- Travel Coordinator at WOMADelaide 2017-2018, overseeing the travel logistics for visiting international performers
- Producing roles at OzAsia Festival 2016, Adelaide Festival 2015 and Brisbane Festival 2014
- Production office coordination for ‘Stateless’ and ‘Wolf Creek’ television series
- Executive administration for the Arts Industry Council of SA 2014-16
- Event management positions at Adelaide University Union and Adelaide City Council in 2014
Michelle worked at Adelaide Fringe from 2008-2013 in positions including Artist Services Manager, where she oversaw the department facilitating the participation of 4000 artists in 900 events in 365 venues.
She was also employed with the Arts Industry Office in Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008-2009, fostering connections between artists and programmers/tour bookers.
